You are welcome here!

During the months of June, July, and August, services will be offered on Saturdays at 5:30 p.m. (contemporary music); and Sundays at 8 (Rite I - "old" language, no music) & 9:30 a.m. (Rite II - modern language, traditional music).

Children aged 3-1/2 through 5th grade are invited to explore Discovery Canyon during this year's Vacation Bible School, August 10-14 from 9:30-noon.  Together with our neighbors at Middletown Reformed Church right down the street, children will have tons of fun as they learn about God in the comfortably air conditioned classrooms of the Reformed Church. Join us for fun and adventure.  Click here to copy and paste a registration form, call the Christ Church office (732.671.2524) or email our Youth Minister, Victoria Cuff at victoriacuff@verizon.net.  The program is free, and you need not be a member of the church to register.  Everyone is invited, but space is limited--register soon!

The windows of the Old Church are soon to be restored and memorialized. Read more.

On April 24-25, 50 area children from 4 different churches, participated in a World Vision 30-Hour Famine. These youth from Asbury Park, New Brunswick and Middletown gathered at Christ Church, Middletown to 'experience' what too many children from around the world must endure as an every day way of life. They fasted for 30 hours, created a 'cardboard village' to replicate the conditions under which many people exist on a daily basis, and spent the night in those surroundings. They performed a service project, shopped for food to donate to a local food bank and raised in excess of $10,000 which is to be sent for support of an Amazon River Basin hospital boat which provides medical care to that area of South America, particularly for children whose needs are rarely considered. In recognition of the over 25,000 children who die each day around the world due to a lack of care, the Middletown event also had the participants imprinting 25,000 of their own fingerprints on their cardboard village to express their awareness of the problems that exist. This was the 2nd year of participation by the J2A (Journey to Adulthood) youth group at Christ Church, Middletown, and their efforts have provided close to $25,000 in support of the World Vision Project.  Click here to more about the 30 Hour Famine, and our Lenten Alms project. Visit the eScrapbook for more pictures of the 30 Hour Famine.

Stop by to see the Christ Church Memorial Garden, beautifully refurbished by Green with Envy Landscaping. Crumbling railroad ties and moss-covered bricks were replaced by a graceful, curved walk.  Sickly shrubs were taken out to make room for early and late flowering plants.  The restoration and beautification of the Memorial Garden was a project approved by the Vestry, and funded by the Memorial Fund.  The Memorial Fund is comprised of gifts given to Christ Church in memory of loved ones.  Keep an eye on the Garden as blooms unfold throughout the summer!
