Thank You!
There
are people in the world so hungry, that God cannot appear to them except in the
form of bread.
-
Charles Dickens, Oliver Twist
It was a great day to walk for the hungry on
Sunday, October 19. Thank you to all CROP Walkers and Pledgers!
All CROP Walk donations may now be sent directly
to Red Bank. Please specify that you are part of Christ Church Middletown, make
your check payable to CWS-CROP, and mail to: Red Bank CROP Walk P.O. Box 8022

Thanksgiving Ingathering: November 15-16
It is that time of year again when we count our
blessings and share in great food. Sadly, some are not as fortunate as we are
and need to depend on the help of others to enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner with
their families. Our Thanksgiving Ingathering will be held on 11/16/08 with
scheduled delivery of food to St. Mark’s on 11/23/08. Please be on the lookout
for slips of paper which will be distributed after services the first two
weekends in November suggesting what you can donate for the Ingathering. We can
also use help sorting the food during coffee hour on 11/16/08.

New Member Sunday: November 15-16
At worship on Saturday and Sunday, November
15-16th, we will recognize our new members since last spring. After the worship
service on Sunday they will be hosted to a Welcome Brunch where they will meet
parish leaders and the other new members to launch their full participation in
the body of Christ—Christ Church, Middletown. Did you know that membership in
Christ Church is by “request” and Holy Baptism? First, you “request”
membership. Second, you are baptized or verify your baptism. Now you are an “official
member”. Have you declared your membership? Not sure? Please phone the parish
office at 732-671-2524, or e-mail at christchurchmiddletown@verizon.net. We want
YOU as a member of Christ Church, Middletown. Questions? Call or speak to the
Rector, or Parish Administrator, Christine Ruland.
