Cup of Salvation of Holy Communion at the altar.
Fall through Spring:
September through May
Holy Eucharist
Saturday, 5:30 p.m. in Historic Christ
Church
We worship together with contemporary keyboard
& guitar music, a homily (a short sermon), and an easy-to-follow "alternative"
liturgy, as well as Holy Eucharist. This is our most "laid back"
service.
Sunday, 8:00 a.m. in
Historic Christ Church
This quiet service uses the Rite I Liturgy from our
prayer book. Rite I is written using an old style of language (thee, thy, etc.)
which many people find quite poetic. There is no choir at this service.
Sunday , 10:00
a.m. in New Christ Church
Many families with children attend this service because
church school also begins at 10 o'clock. Children join their parents in church
at the Offertory. Nursery care is available for children under three years
old. We have a full choir and
beautiful organ music as part of our Rite II Liturgy (no thee and thy).
After the services we gather together in our undercroft for coffee. (The
"New Church" is the large brick church just west of the Old Church.)
